How We Do It
We work closely with equine networks to pull at- risk horses from various locations around the United States. These can be horses at auction, in legit kill lots, and owner surrenders.

After funds are raised by donations and/or fundraisers we dispatch a hauler to go and pick up the horses. All of our haulers are screened by us to ensure the horses are in safe and loving care while on their way to FVR.

The Process
Once a horse arrives at FVR we immediately quarantine and provide gentle care for the horse. We vet, dental, farrier, and most times need to start a re-feed program.
Once horses are healthy enough, we start the process of evaluating each horse, with the ultimate goal being a forever home.

We attend as many auctions as we can and try to help horses that fall into the "kill buyer" price range. We cannot do that without your help. Please consider a donation to help 'at risk' auction horses. NEXT AUCTION IS JAN. 17TH, 2024
